Inspired Spirit

You know, I can’t get into the holiday spirit without watching The Grinch… he is truly one of my favourite characters. He’s cranky, smelly and rude and I can’t help but love him, meanness and all!

There is one scene in the movie that always stood out for me, and really hit home again watching it the other night. The Grinch is standing on top of that cold, frozen mountain with the phone book. And he starts yelling at the little town below,  one name at a time “I hate you”, “Hate, Hate, Hate!” , “Loathe and Despise!!”.

I think the reason it stands out so much is because we all have had a moment like that in our lives, where we feel so overwhelmed by our history, all the events and people who have hurt us and it still hurts.

It takes no more energy or effort for a large miracle than a small one.

Miracles are our inheritance from God.

Because we are the prodigal Son (and Daughter!), we are to expect Miracles in our life every day.  When you think about it, size shouldn’t matter either. It takes the same amount of energy for our Creator to make a large miracle as a small one.  This isn’t about faith or believing, its about KNOWING.

A miracle may not come in the package you expect, but it will come.
